Briana Macedo
MD/PhD student
BSE
Princeton University
Originally from New Jersey, Briana received her Bachelor of Science and Engineering in Computer Science from Princeton University. As an undergraduate, she worked with Dr. Olga Troyanskaya at the Simons Foundation and Lewis-Sigler Institute of Integrative Genomics to create a framework for analyzing the regulatory impact of noncoding genetic mutations. At that time, she also worked with Dr. Jake Brenner here at Penn and led a team in performing a meta-analysis of material properties that influence nanoparticle pharmacokinetics. As an aspiring physician-scientist, her goal in the lab is to combine data from brain imaging, genetic sequencing, and clinical data within the EHR to better understand brain development and disease.
Fun Facts
- 1. her life goal is to visit all the national parks in the US
