Dr. Zaixu Cui grew up in Bengbu, Anhui Province in China. Zaixu received his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Anhui University and Ph.D degree in Cognitive Neuroscience from Beijing Normal University in China. During Ph.D period, he mainly worked on the application of machine learning in neuroimaging. He also developed a software for pipeline processing of diffusion MRI imaging datasets (https://www.nitrc.org/projects/panda/). Currently, he is a postdoctoral fellow working at the Brain Behavior Laboratory in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He joined the lab in October 1th, 2017, and has focused on multi-modal studies of network development using control theory and machine learning. His two first author papers at PennLINC have been published in Neuron and eLife. He just got a tenure-track faculty position in Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing.
