Anna Xu

Data Analyst

Brown University

Anna received her BSc in cognitive neuroscience in 2018 at Brown University where she undertook coursework and training in statistics and experimental psychology. At the Satterthwaite Lab as a data analyst since 2018, her main work focuses on meta-analyses of neuroimaging studies of pain, with the aim of finding brain regions and networks that are consistently involved in the central mechanisms of pain processing. She plans to combine neuroscience and statistics to better understand our affective experiences, especially when they become pathological (as in the case of chronic pain). Outside of research, she is passionate about science communication to the community and powerlifting.
